Windy - Possibly Rainy - Day

As I sit here, looking out the window, the cedar hedge is blowing...














Another damp "fall" day...


















The current early morning temperature of 6 degrees C (43 degrees F) is the day's high - with the temperature going down to 5 degrees C (41 degrees F) this afternoon. A cloudless, clear night is expected, with temperatures of -5 degrees C (21 degrees F) overnight.

Rainy Day

I managed to do some gardening outdoors yesterday. Probably not today... The forecast is for light rain. High this afternoon of 4 degrees C (39 degrees F) and a surprising rise in temperature overnight - to 7 degrees C (45 degrees F) - with rain expected for yet another day.

More of the Same (Warm Weather!)

The weather is still nice. (In fact, I may go out and finish trimming back my garden - i.e., cutting down dead flowers in preparation for spring.)

The projected high is 7 degrees C (45 degrees F) with an overnight low of 3 degrees C (37 degrees F). And the sun may even break through the clouds!

Overcast - With Rain

The sky is overcast this morning.














Rain is predicted for this afternoon and evening. A high of 12 degrees C (54 degrees F) this afternoon with a (rainy) overnight high of 9 degrees C (48 degrees F).

First Snowfall Disappearing

The mild temperatures of the last 24 hours have melted most of our first snowfall.


















These warm temperatures are supposed to continue. The high today is projected to be 9 degrees C (48 degrees F) while the overnight low is forecast to be degrees 5 C (41 degrees F).














I'd like to see the sun - as the dawn breaks, the sky is overcast. But I guess the cloud cover keeps the warmth close to the ground. Clear skies usually bring colder weather.

The Snow Should Go

If the weather forecast for today is right, the snow should all melt today...


















But this is what it looks like early this morning. (Current temperature -1 degrees C or 29 degrees F.)

The sunny high for this afternoon is 8 degrees C (41 degrees F) with an overnight low of 3 degrees C (37 degrees F).

First Snow!

Overnight we had our first snow of the season. It is currently coming down in large fluffy flakes. The weather network refers to it as "light snow..." To me it doesn't seem that light.














Good news: The freezing rain we feared did not arrive - though it did occur in Toronto, where it is often slightly warmer than here.

















The snowfall is supposed to end around 10 am - with the sun coming out around noon. A sunny high of 2 degrees C (36 degrees F) is forecast for this afternoon, with an overnight low of - 4 degrees C (25 degrees F).

(I wonder if all this snow will melt - or partly melt, then freeze again in rough ridges?!)

Good News / Bad News Weather Forecast

Today's high is 1 degree C (34 degrees F) and the overnight low will be degrees -3 C (27 degrees F). The GOOD NEWS is that today is supposed to be sunny - the BAD NEWS is that freezing rain is forecast for overnight. But then the GOOD NEWS is that I don't have to go anywhere tomorrow!

It's a chilly - but sunny - morning. Currently (at 8 am) it's - 7 degrees Celsius or 18 degrees Fahrenheit. The high today is -1 degree C. ( 30 degrees F) with an expected low of -8 degrees C (18 degrees F) overnight.





















It's a sunny, almost cloudless day - with long shadows indicating that the sun is low in the sky.

Windy Grey Day

Overcast grey sky and strong wind... High today is this morning's 11 degrees C (52 degrees F) with temperatures dropping this afternoon to 8 degrees C (46 degrees F) and an overnight low of -7 degrees C (19 degrees F). Still no snow on the ground!

Warmer Again!

The sky - as I look out the window - is overcast but the Weather Network calls for a sunny day. The sunny (but windy) high is supposed to be 8 degrees C ( 46 degrees F) with an overnight low of 6 degrees C (41 degrees F). Not bad for November!

But - on a personal note - I have been fighting a cold all week - and have finally succumbed! (Is this the beginning of cold and flu season as well?!)

A Little Cooler

Temperatures are hovering around the freezing mark today. The high is 3 degrees C (37 degrees F) and the overnight low is 2 degrees C (36 degrees F). But the wind makes it feel much cooler.

The high today is 4 degrees C, with an overnight low of -4 degrees C. We may get wet snow this afternoon. Is winter finally arriving?!

Another warm day ahead! High of 12 degrees C (54 degrees F) with an overnight low of 2 degrees C. (36 degrees F). This has been (and continues to be) an amazing November here in Ottawa!

More Warm Weather

Today will be almost as warm as yesterday - the high is expected to be 12 degrees C (54 degrees F) - with an overnight low of 5 degrees C (41 degrees F).

















Yesterday's temperature (as measured by my car while I was out running errands at 2:46 pm) was - in fact higher than predicted!

















Not bad for mid-November in Canada!

Sunny Day Ahead

According to the weather network, it is currently raining in Ottawa (at 6 am) - and the temperature is 12 degrees C. ( 54 degrees F.) ...but it's too dark to see.

The good news is that the day is supposed to be sunny, with a high of 16 degrees C. (61 degrees F.)

... I'm sure my Texas relatives would find that hard to believe!

Overcase and Warm

There is no wind ruffling the trees this morning - just that bright greyness of an overcast sky with the sun breaking through.

















The high today is predicted to be 12 degrees C. (54 degrees F.) The forecast for tonight is an overnight low of 10 degrees C (50 degrees F) with light rain.

















Still no snow!

Another Windy Day

Last night Terry said: It might snow overnight... But it didn't!

The current weather - as dawn breaks - is 2 degrees C. (36 degrees F). With the wind chill factor it feels like -3 degrees C. (27 degrees F).














It's cloudy. This afternoon's forecast calls for sun and isolated showers. But the high is expected to be 9 degrees C. (48 degrees F). The good news is that there is no snow expected in the next 7 days...

But the air has a chilly heaviness that makes me think that snow is in the air...

Perhaps a few more good days to work outdoors.

Windy But Warm

The high for today is 9 degrees C. (50 degrees F). Tonight the temperature is expected to drop to 0 degrees C. (32 degrees F).
















But it is breezy - warm winds from the southwest.

A good day for working outdoors - but maybe not for raking, as the leaves will fly away!
